Programs

Overview

Upon arrival, campers are divided into small groups within their program. Small groups, led by 2-3 counselors or advisors, form the basis for helping campers to develop relationships, thus fostering personal reflection and a sharing of perspectives. The small group structure provides a safe environment for campers to have daily discussions and develop lifelong friendships.

Each year, TAF invites keynote speakers for each program, as well as some guest speakers. Our speakers come from all across the US and support the conference theme by sharing their expertise in a way that resonates with the appropriate age group. Workshops and activities outside of these sessions complement each speaker’s message to the campers throughout the week.

Sprouts

The Sprouts Program is designed for children who have completed grades 1-3 with a focus on providing fun and unique experiences that help build a strong socioemotional foundation crucial in childhood development.

Juniors

The Juniors program is designed for campers who have completed grades 4 and 5 with the focus on our campers’ development of lifelong skills through fun and unique experiences in a community that cultivates respect for themselves, others, and the environment. We want to empower young minds to engage in servant leadership and innovative thinking for today’s challenges and tomorrow’s opportunities.

Junior High

The Junior High Program is a chance for middle schoolers to explore their own identity, build confidence, and grow during a transitional time in their lives. Our program aims to build the leaders of tomorrow as they utilize the four pillars of TAF within their lives.

Youth

The Youth program aims to challenge our campers by focusing our programming around more abstract concepts and difficult topics. We hope to develop skills that will best equip them for the next phase of their lives while providing them with a safe and fun environment.

Labs

Labs supports the TAF summer conference through service projects while fostering members’ personal growth. Our community ranges from high school graduates, to young professionals and lifelong TAFers.

Parents Weekend Program

The Parents Weekend Program furthers TAF’s mission statement by empowering multigenerational families to develop their servant leadership in all stages of life. Both campers and parents can feel supported and empowered through TAF’s curriculum to better support each other and the broader community.
